Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem

While we were in Nottingham a few weeks ago, we stopped at the oldest inn in England, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem dating back to 1189!

It is tucked into the side of Castle Hill and is supposed to be haunted.

  8. I had a few pints in there (and several other pubs all claiming to be the oldest in England - just to make sure, you understand).

  12. It looks very well kept up. Did you go inside? Are there rooms and dining below, or is it just for tours and historical value? It really does look Olde English!

  14. That's a beauty of an old inn and still looking good. Maybe the ghosts keep the place looking this good so they can have fun scaring patrons when they come in and have a cold one. :)
