Airplane Art

A suitable building for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts in Philadelphia, built in 1805, I love the architectural details.

Alongside the building is the recently developed Lenfest Plaza with several art installations by alumni of the academy.

This airplane really catches the imagination and is by Jordan Griska. It is known as the Grumman Greenhouse as Griska recommissioned the Cold War era military plane into a greenhouse growing medicinal plants used by the Horticultural Society (see mural in Monday's post) for City Harvest, which feeds low income families in the area.
