In like a Lion!

March has come in like a lion for sure, though I don't think we are having it just as bad as parts of England and Scotland.

We have been able to clear the driveway and get the car out so we stocked up and kept the fire blazing.

We even braved the winds which felt like it was -11 Celsius -and we never have it so bitter! - to go for a walk!

These were taken on Wednesday  at Hillsborough Fort and lake just before the worst hit.

This was yesterday and there has been more snow overnight with drifts up to 4 and 5ft high.

Hope you are safe and warm too!

  5. Your winter is lasting longer than ours. You do still have winter. Our snow is gone but we are not surprised to see snowstorms in later March. Great shots, stay inside and staywarm.

  7. That must have been quite a storm. I've seen snow photos all the way from Venice and over to Ireland. That is a big swath of ground to cover.

  8. Beautiful photos!

Here, we are under another big snow, etc. storm and 'everything' is closed. On the Atlantic Coast, where our daughter lives, they have hurricane winds. Wheeeeeee...

    Stay safe and warm...

Weather not so spring like here either. Looks like a blizzard out there this morning by me.

  13. We got about 1 cm of snow here in Toronto so no issues at all - it is melting away in the sun.

  14. Oh my goodness! I hope you are well stocked with food. Here, we have no snow. It is sunny. But we are having a wind storm. Gusts of about 70 miles an hour. They expect widespread power outages. I am crossing my fingers that we do not lose power. My favorite pictures today are the last one, and the beautiful patterns on the partially frozen lake.

  15. What an interesting part, of the Fort.

Glad you are ready for the storm.

    Stay warm and safe!

Over the Pond here, we are having much more snow also! But of course, snow is usual, for our winter. Ours is like a 'Marshmallow World,' today. :-)

  19. I can feel the chill in your photos. Very windy and cold down here but not that much snow. The wind was howling last night and it was loud. I wonder when spring will show up?
