Back in the Day Belfast Mural

A different kind of mural done on perspex, depicting the delivery of kegs of beer on the cobbles of Belfast from yesteryear.

It is part of 'A River Runs Through It' 3D art installations along East Berry Street and into Bank Street, created by Annemarie Mullan and Stephen Mackey, unveiled in 2015.

  5. An attractive and well-executed work of art. Young's Brewery in London used horses up till the 1990s.

  8. This is wonderful!! Certainly better than my mural today. You had me when I first saw the bird and clock. I would have been happy with just that, but then the awesome mural. I love the cobblestones and the horses.

  10. Very impressive, Christine. I like the metal work on top, very unique. I wonder how heavy those barrels would be if you could lift like that guy does. Too heavy for me. :)

  16. Love the medium - seeing the old brick face through the painting is perfect and really brings the scene to life. Is it a permanent piece?

  17. Except for the Clydesdales, I'll bet you can still find similar cobblestoned alleys in Belfast. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
