Viaduct Revisited

The Viaduct at Dromore County Down, late November afternoon.

The Viaduct is no longer in use as the railway line it carried was discontinued.

It's a massive structure and I am amazed at its construction given it was built in Victorian times!

The river Lagan flows beneath it.

Thanks for your visit!

  20. This is such a beautiful structure. It looks like it was build to resemble the ones that the Romans built to transport water from the mountains to the city. Roman archers are the strength of the bridge.
