Saturday's Critters

These were on display at the Ulster Museum.

The birds are Ptarmigans found in mountainous areas.

This was a beautiful Arctic Fox.

I loved the hare.

  2. Hello, wonderful museum exhibit. I remember trying to find the Ptarmigan on a trip to Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park in Colorado. They are suppose to be seen there on the mountain tops. The Arctic Fox is beautiful and I love the cute hare.

  7. I am reminded of some of the displays of our Nature Museum. I know we've got the latter two, and I imagine there are ptarmigans in the bird gallery.

  10. I did not guess the Ptarmigans. I thought they were some type of quail or guinea fowl. The arctic foxes are always so beautiful! Are these creatures that are endangered? I hope not! The hare looks big! Wonder if that is the difference between a rabbit and a hare
