Some Treasures at the Ulster Museum

This is part of the exterior of the Ulster Museum, an unusual bow of a boat on this window ledge!

A large metal sculpture at the entrance...

My favourite piece of artwork, the Waterford Sconce by  World renowned glass sculptor Dale Chihuly.  It is a thing of beauty!

There were also two stained glass windows inside.  This one depicts the flax growing in Ireland

And this is the importance of water as it flows in the rivers to the sea.

Thanks for joining me.

  14. I love the ship on the window ledge! Dale Chihuly is awesome, we went to one of his shows a few years ago. His sconce is gorgeous. But my favorite is the Irish Flax stained glass window. Vibrant, brilliant, and full of light. Beautiful colors, too. I love the blue and yellow.

  18. Wonderful exhibits. The old bow of the ship is appealing, and I wondered if that was a Chihuly piece. Thanks Christine, lovely post.

  22. It's been a long time since I've been to a museum. When I was a teacher we took the kids once a year. Now that is over, I haven't been back. - Margy
