Hedgehog

I prefer photographs of living creatures but hedgehogs are not easy to find being very shy nocturnal animals.  This one was on display at the Ulster museum which I visited on Thursday.

(More from there next week.)

They grow  to about the size of a man's hand.

  4. When I saw the title of your post I was wondering if you saw one out in nature. That would be something. They make such cute characters in children's stories. Hope your Saturday has gone well.

  11. My first thought was how on earth did you get such a great photo of such an elusive animal. Now I know. What interesting animals they are too.

  13. Wonderful photos, with great details! I think they are so cute! Especially how they roll up in a ball when threatened. People do have them for pets, which I don't think is such a good idea.
