Backyard Beauty

Closer to home, these are the fields nearby usually filled with sheep, which keep us amused by their antics - more on Saturday.

It was a beautiful late summer's evening when I took these photos.
It's easy to become familiar and take for granted what's in front of us everyday but when I stop and enjoy my own backyard, I'm so thankful for the beauty I see with fresh appreciation.

Thanks for stopping by!

  8. We do tend to look for beauty elsewhere, sometimes far away from home... and yet, one day we realize that beauty is just in front of us when we get up in the morning... : ))

  14. How gorgeous!! The pictures remind me of two things. Jesus as our good Shepherd, and the book and movie "Far From the Madding Crowd". A friend of mine just married a man who lives on a large sheep farm. I have not been there yet, but it must look a bit like this. The sunset behind the sheep is just gorgeous! How dare that one to look away!
