The backroads around Strasburg, Lancaster County are among my favourite for scenes like these...

  5. At first glance it seems like paradise... but then when I focused on the clothesline I kind of changed my mind...

Yes, the sun is a natural sanitizer, but just thinking of all that work... thanks, but no thanks! : ))

  6. Serene shots. It's the Mennonites who can be found not that far from where I grew up, so these scenes are familiar.

  15. Hi Christine.

    It is very quiet there.
The people live there very quietly.

  16. So amazed to admit that this community still maintain tradition in their daily lives. I've seen documentary stories of their lives on tv.

  17. A very idyllic way of life for these interesting communities. Lovely scenic shots and I especially love seeing all the washing on the line.

  22. Love that clothesline. You are right about Landis being a Mennonite name. I bet there are some in my lineage, I should look back at the genealogy to make sure.
