Grand Central

Grand Central reminds me of a beehive - there's so many levels and a great buzz of activity.

It is a beautiful building...the flag is huge, looking upwards.

Tom Otterness has created lots of these subway characters and I had fun looking out for them.

Thanks for joining me again ... Have a great day!

  1. That is one place I would not care to visit. Too big and too much hassle and stress for me. Only time in New York was at the airport waiting to change planes.

  2. I was there. Beautiful station. Have to be careful not to get lost. Took the subway in a very hot summer day! It was hot and humid... I found it dirty and smelly. I was disappointed with the neglected subway system. The upstairs is quite impressive. :)

  16. Grand Central...the hub for humanity in NYC...it has cleaned up quite nicely over the years...at one time it was a very scary, smelly place...certainly not a spot for tourists....love your photos, Christine...you captured the beauty of Grand Central and a bit of its soul.
