Shall we Promenade?

Many of our seaside resorts in Northern Ireland, retain much of their Victorian heritage, when summer holidays to the seaside became popular.

This is Bangor County Down and there are many well restored Victorian townhouses along the seafront here, in lovely spring colours I might add.

Other Victorian features here include the gazebo presented to the Yacht Club,

and a fine clock tower in a central part of the town near the hotels which you can see in the background.

This is the promenade, now remodelled

It is alongside the more modern marina.

  4. I like the townhome. I lived in similar when in San Francisco, they called them Painted Ladies because of the many colors used to paint them.
