Nature Ramble

On Wednesday I headed out for a nature ramble  and was rewarded by seeing my first butterfly of spring, the Orange-tip, resting on cow parsley.

Its wings when closed are an amazing camouflage against the cow parsley .

In the woods I managed a quick shot of a ladybird before I dislodged it trying to zoom in!

I love hawthorn blossom too!

And the hedges are bands of vivid yellow with all the gorse blooming and it smells wonderful!

Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Happy Weekend, Christine. I love butterflies and this capture is gorgeous. I love all the colorful blooms and the ladybug. In the wedding photo link in my post today, one of the brides has a ladybug on her finger and her nails are done in a ladybug design!
