The view from the hill

 
Stormont sits at quite an elevation with super views over Belfast and the countryside - just a pity the rain clouds were moving in as we exited the building.

A large statue of Edward Lord Carson commemorates his pivotal role in securing the government of Northern Ireland as part of the UK.



These are the gates leading to Stormont but not the main gates which I will have to go back and photograph at another time when the weather clears again!
