Birds on the Lagan

Disappointed mallards - I had no snacks for them!

We went cycling along the Lagan towpath during the week and at least the rain stayed off. I stopped a couple of times to snap some 'fowl' photos with my iPhone so they're not the greatest.

This greylag goose was in a hurry

  3. Cute ducks and good shots with your phone. That's what I've been using when I can get out and about.

  4. I love those coots! I cannot wait to see ours come back in the spring. We have a bunch that nest near our place and they just have the sweetest babies. They are so shy, and they try to hide as soon as anyone walks near their pond. It's adorable.
    Enjoy your Saturday Christine,

  9. Hello Christine!:) The coot is a great sighting, I never see them around our ponds, not that I have been out lately. I'm trying to catch up with everyone. Enjoy your weekend!:)

  11. We are having a Canada geese problem in our town. People hate the mess on lawns and in parks, but I hate to hear them talk about culling the birds to solve the problem. Maybe we could let dogs back into our parks to scare them off. - Margy
