Love Signs Forever

Carving a heart with your name and your loved one's name on a tree has been a long standing romantic thing to do!

These are some of the heart and initials I've found out and about - even though I'm a day late posting them for Valentine's Day!

  8. There is a tree along a trail that we hike on where couples have been carving their initials for years, and the tree just keeps growing taller. It's kind of fun to look at all those initials!

  9. Love it. There's a tree in Wagga Wagga, Australia with my and my husband's name carved in it. I would love to go back and try to find it some day. It's been 37 years.

  11. This may be a sweet tradition, but it can be hard on the trees. That first one is quite old given the new bark the tree grew around it. Good post for Valentine's Day, even a day late.
