The Hermitage


Another folly along the Shimna River in Tollymore, is the Hermitage.

From the upper path, all you can see is the domed stone roof.


From the far side of the river, this is what the Hermitage looks like...

  21. I would like to own a folly built where all distractions were shut out! Seriously, this is a lovely place ...beautiful green woodsy walk and fascinating history as well as the architecture.
