Railroad Museum Ellicott City
We arrived in elliott City around dusk so the railroad museum was closed.
However you could still walk along the street beside the station and see this old carriage
In need of some repairs though.

Stone Stacks, Ellicott City
One evening we drove to Ellicott City and found we had just missed a stone stacking contest in the river. There were hundreds of stacks and some very creative pieces of artwork!
This received recognition for creativity. |
Another prize winning stone stack |
On the river bank there is a pretty garden dedicated to 'Mr Patapsco' who enjoyed this art and these are in his memory
Thanks for joining me and hope you have a great week!

Beautiful Barns
Here a few more barns I found in Ohio. Red barns abound.
An Amish farm
That's a big barn!

Saturday Critters
Whilst staying near Annapolis, this was one of our 'guests'!
Meanwhile, down at the waterfront, some ducks were enjoying the morning peace and quiet.
At the weekends, this dock fills up with yachts and boats and aptly named Ego Alley!
Here you will also find the memorial to Alex Haley's work Roots about Kunta Kinte.
hope you enjoyed and that you have a fun weekend!
Thanks to Eileen for hosting Saturday's Critters. Check out lots more HERE

Around Annapolis
Some more shots from around Annapolis, State Circle, Maryland Ave. and Prince George street
Linking these with Skywatch Friday HERE
Maryland Ave has some really quaint stores
I caught this neat reflection shot of the shops across the street in this antique shop mirror
Sharing with James' Weekend Reflections HERE
This would be a fun way to explore!
A mosaic as there were just too many photos of beautiful old homes!

Good Fences around Annapolis
As we were walking around the State Capital building in Annapolis, I spotted this American robin about to enjoy lunch on the fence.
All around State Circle there are lovely old homes with pretty antique looking gates and fences.
Different styles and designs.
This post top was intriguing and cobwebs draped over it like something from Halloween!

Maryland's State House Annapolis
Annapolis is such a pretty city to walk around and explore the sights. This looks towards the State House
In summer the trees almost cover it apart from the dome
We picked the wrong time to visit as the sun was directly overhead
The circle you see above makes up the memorial to one of Maryland's famous lawyers, Thurgood Marshall, seen below.
Joining Tom today for Tuesday's Treasures HERE
Thanks for your visit!
