Swan for Saturday

 This is the first time I believe I have seen a Whooper swan in Northern Ireland.

We were walking along the Lagan towpath near Lisburn and their solitary swan sailed by. I used my phone to take these

  4. I always like to watch them, they are so regal. I look forward to trumpeter swan migration in the spring. I have worked with their being returned to the wilds a lot.

  9. Aren't swans so majestic!! I got to photograph a mother and baby this summer up on a massachusetts pond, and was so fun seeing them looking for food. Lovely shots. Am stopping by to visit you from SATURDAYS CRITTERS!

  13. On rare occasions we see Trumpeter Swans on our lake while they are migrating. They are beautiful birds, especially in flight. - Margy

  16. WOW! He is an early on to fly in. There are usually a firld of them near Island Hill, Newtownards every year. They are wuite a sight.
