Saturday's Critters

This furry little critter was also trying to climb Slemish - we meet him on our way down all by himself.

This is the Northern Eggar moth caterpillar and is quite long and chunky! But very shy so I couldn't photograph his face.

Below - these wasps were in an excited state but I'm not sure why and I wasn't going closer!

Thanks for visiting and have a happy weekend!

  1. Around here wasps and yellow jackets are very active in early fall. Their hives are over crowded and they love to sting...watch out!

  5. Hello, I love the fuzzy caterpillar. The wasp would scare me, I would not get too close. Great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

  9. Smart move, keeping your distance from the wasps. They tend to have short tempers.

  14. I wouldn't want to go near both the critters. We have a type of hairy caterpillar that will cause painful swelling and terrible itch when it comes into contact with the skin.

  19. What a gorgeous fuzzy little guy. That's a weird thing with the wasps, maybe there was a piece of cake on the ground. I know, I get in a frenzy when I see cake.
Have a great Sunday, maybe have some cake.
