Good Fences

These are the original granite stone houses for the mill workers in Ellicott City and Oella Mill, Maryland.

The area is known as Granite Hill and overlooks the Patapsco River.

Wonderful mix of stonewall and white picket fence!

The Grand Old Flag proudly waves from the fence!

  12. beautiful, just beautiful!! i love those stone walls, we always see them when we travel to Connecticut. they are so pretty to look at but do you ever think about the men who built them. gathering the stone and putting them into place. what a task, they are a work of art!!!

combining the fences with them is really beautiful as well!!!

  27. That reminds me of when I lived in Princeton and would often visit Bucks County, PA. What a beautiful old house, nothing like that here in the California mountains, for sure.
