Saturday's Critters

Happy Saturday!  Time to share some snaps of the horses we saw in Amish country.  These huge horses were the first clue we were coming into Amish areas, as these are, I believe, Belgian draft horses and used by Amish farmers for heavy farm work.

Up early next morning in the mist behind our cottage

We also managed to fit in a pony trek, near Charm, from the Guggisberg Swiss Inn and the kids loved their mounts, which were all very well behaved even though this one was called Toe Breaker!??

These were taken by hubby who brought along his iPhone

A holiday highlight on horseback.

Thanks for coming by and please visit Viewing Nature with Eileen for more Critters HERE

Enjoy your weekend!

  27. Those are beautiful horses. Glad you had a good time horseback riding! Reminds me of last time I rode at a friend's house--she held the reins and led the horse, so I felt a lot more comfortable!
