Saturday Critters

Whilst staying near Annapolis, this was one of our 'guests'!

Meanwhile, down at the waterfront, some ducks were enjoying the morning peace and quiet.

At the weekends, this dock fills up with yachts and boats and aptly named Ego Alley!

Here you will also find the memorial to Alex Haley's work Roots about Kunta Kinte.

hope you enjoyed and that you have a fun weekend!

Thanks to Eileen for hosting Saturday's Critters.  Check out lots more HERE

  2. It's always delightful to watch the ducks. I believe that's a grasshopper in the first photo. They are a nuisance! I had to read the book "Roots" when I was in college. One of the LONGEST books EVER! lol

  4. Hello Christine!:) That's a neat shot of the Grasshopper, and some very peaceful water scenes with the ducks enjoying having this space to themselves. The bronze statues are beautiful works of art, thank you for including them in your post.

  7. Wonderful photos Christine. When I was a kid we used to try and catch grasshoppers and they were tough so a lot of times we just gave up. The ducks look like they're enjoying the water. I like the sculpture, I read roots and saw the mini series on TV.
    Have an excellent day!

  8. we have plenty of those critters here in texas, too. although with the rains we've had this summer, it has helped to keep their numbers down this year. beautiful watery views.

  9. Great shot of the hopper and what a pretty waterfront. We have so many beautiful coastal photos from our trip this summer. I can't wait to get some of them sorted through and up on the blog.
