Quaint

St Malachy's Parish Church in Hillsborough is possibly one of the most photographed churches in county Down thanks to its beautiful setting and tree lined avenues and its striking steeple.

At the entrance to either of the avenues are two of the most quaint little church halls, The Sexton's House and the Parish Rooms. I love the stonework and the red doors.

Moss covered tiled roof of the Parish Hall and in the window you can see the reflection of the Sexton's house with its diamond lead glass windows.

  4. A beautiful little spot though more people remember Hillsborough for the disaster that killed 96 people in 1989

  5. Really beautiful. I find that bright red so special. You do not see this here. It is rather dark-red in the Netherlands. Thank you for sharing this beautiful photos/buildings. Very old!
