Saturday Critters

Happy Saturday! Continuing with some more photos taken yesterday at the Open Farm we visited.

The first photo above is a very colourful bird and a new one for me - its a Lady Amherst pheasant, apparently from China.

There are lots of chickens and they seem to be used to all the attention - in fact they expect to be fed!

 Chickens are so comical

I love silkies as we used to keep some.

The peacock had free run of the farm and strutted his stuff proudly, though we had hoped he would fan his beautiful tail but he didn't oblige!

I thought it funny to see him check on the geese from the visitor bench !

thanks for your visit and to Eileen for hosting!

  16. Chickens! I've been wanting to have several. Not sure when we will be getting some. I have to build the coop first because I want them to have both safety and shelter. :-)
