Texture of Good Fences

Its time again for another Thursday with TexWis Girl and her wonderful meme 'Good Fences'

When I'm out on my bicycle its amazing how much more details I see as I tootle along our winding country lanes.  I saw these fence posts made out of concrete and had to take a closer look at them and then saw the texture better.  To me they look ancient - they've been there along time and have weathered rough storms.

The rusty old cable locks and fittings were cool to see.

But I really liked the colourful lichen that had grown on the concrete and melded into it.

Down to the nitty gritty!

Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment.

  7. I love seeing things that are so different from what we have locally. I've never seen a concrete fence post and had no idea they existed anywhere. So glad I've stopped by to see something new!

  8. Hello Christine!:) What a good find, and the yellow lichen is a good sign,---it means the air is about as pure as it gets anywhere.

  27. First time I have ever seen such a fence post.It does make for a sturdy one! I love the cable tie ins. It reminds me of the old wooden wheels that people use as clotheslines.
Great pics. and it sure does do good to ride the bike.
